New Student Application Process

1. Visit Wesleyan Christian Academy.

The best way to see if Wesleyan is the right fit for you and your family is to come and experience our school culture firsthand.  You're invited to schedule a personal tour or attend an Admission's Open House.  Contact our Admissions Office at (336) 884-3333 ext. 263 or email Angel Taylor at ataylor@wesed.org to schedule your visit.  We can't wait to meet you!

  • 2nd - 12th Grade Applicants:  An admission achievement test is given to all applicants.  If your student scored above the 95th percentile on their EOGs or other standardized testing, he/she may be waived from taking an admissions test at Wesleyan.
  • Enrichment Center Applicants:  Enrichment Center applicants will be administered the Woodcock-Johnson Test of Achievement in addition to some informal testing.
5. Attend the School Principal Meeting.

This meeting can take place at any point in the application process and is scheduled at the discretion of the school principal.  This is an opportunity for your family to sit down with our principals and learn more about what makes Wesleyan such a great place for students to learn and grow.

6. Notification of admissions decision.

Once all previous steps have been completed, Wesleyan's acceptance notifications will be mailed via the following time-line:

  • Elementary acceptance notifications will be mailed beginning mid-February and continue throughout the spring and summer months.
  • Middle and High School acceptance notifications will begin in mid-April and continue throughout the spring and summer months.  Please note that our Middle and High School grades traditionally receive more applications than available openings.  Hence, notifications for these grades take longer.
7. Sign the New Student Enrollment Agreement and pay the registration fee.

In order to finalize your admission to Wesleyan and secure your student's spot, all newly accepted families are asked to sign the New Student Enrollment Agreement and pay the one-time New Student Registration Fee within 10 business days of the date on their acceptance letter.

8. Apply for tuition assistance through FACTS.

Wesleyan currently offers three types of tuition assistance to our families.

  • FACTS Tuition Assistance:  FACTS financial aid applications should be filed as soon as possible after an offer of admission has been made. Although returning Wesleyan families should apply by April 1, new families can apply after that deadline.  Confirmation of financial aid approval will be mailed during the first week of May.  Please note that funding is limited. The financial aid application can be found here: http://www.factstuitionaid.com.
  • NC Opportunity Scholarships:  This state-funded program is for students currently attending public schools whose household income qualifies for free or reduced lunch in NC public schools.  To learn more about the program and to see if they are accepting applications, please visit:  www.ncseaa.edu.
  • NC Special Education Grants for Students with Learning Disabilities:  This state-funded program reimburses parents and guardians for eligible qualified expenses for their children who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities.  To learn more about this program and to apply, please visit: www.ncseaa.edu
9.  Attend New Family Night at Wesleyan Christian Academy!

Please make plans to attend our New Family Night.  This required event takes place the week prior to our August start date and provides a great opportunity for new families and students to fellowship, meet teachers, staff, and learn more about your new school home.  Check out school calendar for dates and times.
