Below you will find some information that may be helpful in answering some of your questions. After reading the information, please feel free to contact us by filling in the "Request Information" form.

Admission Policy

The Board of Directors of Wesleyan Christian Academy is interested in attracting students who are motivated to learn, strong in character, and who are amenable to Christian instruction of high quality. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of students who are average or above average in ability and achievement. Within the traditional program, a learning disability program is available, which is designed to serve children (K-12) with mild to moderate learning disability needs in reading and math (and/or language in grades 5-12). An Enrichment Center program is available for students with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or attention deficit disorders.

Admission Standards

Based upon the admission's philosophy statement, Wesleyan Christian Academy's admission standards are designed to identify students who:

  • demonstrate average or above average aptitude and/or achievement
  • are socially and emotionally well adjusted
  • are amenable to correction and instruction
  • want to attend Wesleyan Chrisitian Academy
  • are motivated to learn
  • have parents who are supportive of the Academy's Statement of Faith, Statement of Purpose, and Enrollment Agreement
  • have parents who will meet their financial obligation
  • meet minimum age requirement and development readiness (to enroll in the 5K program, a child must be five on or before November 1 and must complete a development readiness test).

In addition, the Board of Directors would urge parents to recognize that their Scriptural responsibility (Deuteronomy 6:1-9, Psalm 78:5-6, Proverbs 22:6) is to provide their children with a Christian education and that the primary responsibility for this task rests with the parents (Ephesians 6:4). While the Board of Directors desires that every parent and student come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, this is not a requirement for admission, but since we are a Christian school, it is essential that parents support and accept the Christian principles we believe in and teach.
