OUR HISTORY

Established on April 2, 2007, WCA Private Teaching Studios operates under the auspices of Wesleyan Christian Academy. Our Fall Grand Opening was held August 23.

OUR GOALS

The objectives of the Teaching Studio is to enhance the overall Fine Arts program at Wesleyan Christian Academy, provide a resource for other area music programs, and to make a contribution to the musical and artistic life of the community. To achieve these objectives, the teaching faculty has been selected from among the most highly qualified, gifted, and talented professionals available. We provide the highest quality instruction in a safe and secure environment. Lessons are available for all ages and ability levels - not only for academy students and parents, but also area churches, public and private schools, and the community-at-large.

WHY TAKE PRIVATE LESSONS

To receive one-on-one instruction from a professional musician who seeks to meet your individual goals; to increase technical skills and musical understanding through a course of study tailored to meet your personal needs; and to develop and enhance your overall musicianship by exploring the history, literature, and performance practices associated with your chosen instrument.

COST and SCHEDULE FOR LESSONS

Lessons range from $22 to $25 per half hour. Arrangements can be made with the individual teacher for extended times. Schedule: Lessons are scheduled/paid by the calendar month with one lesson per week being the norm. Times must be confirmed through Dr. Jarrett and with the individual instructor prior to the first lesson.

Note: Students in SAEC cannot be picked up and returned to lessons by studio teachers. Starting in 3rd grade, elementary students may be dismissed from their classroom immediately after school and walk to lessons unescorted with parental permission.
