Enrichment Center Director Welcome

Parents and Students,

Welcome to the Enrichment Center at Wesleyan Christian Academy! If you are exploring our unique educational program, you might have a child who is experiencing some learning difficulties or you know someone who is facing this challenge. Our goal is to be a resource for you, your family, and friends as we explore a different type of college preparatory learning environment to fit the needs of these very bright students.

As you visit with our Enrichment Center staff, you will immediately recognize the vast amount of expertise and wisdom displayed by each teacher. Constantly searching for methods to assist students as they delve into the learning process, our staff is diligent in pursuing the best for each student as they move toward college acceptance. With the goal of creating independent learners, our teachers daily pursue the task of teaching students how to learn, instead of simply teaching students to memorize facts.

With the adopted Bible verse of Psalm 139:14, "I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made", the goal of the Enrichment Center is to assist each student to reach his/her God-given potential, providing instruction to develop both remedial and compensatory skills. As we find in the Bible, providing modifications is not new to our Lord, as demonstrated through the life of Moses, who was slow of speech. God provides possibly the first modification by arranging for Aaron to assist Moses with his leadership responsibilities until he masters this skill. Within each of our precious students lies a Moses, if only given the assistance to fully develop his/her learning and leadership style.

I invite you to come along and join us as we seek ways to further develop these precious students who have been diagnosed with learning differences and attention deficit disorders. It is a great privilege to be able to assist your child in developing strategies and skills necessary to become successful, both in the classroom and in life.
