Our goal is to provide quality childcare services that focus on the total development of the child. Developmen- tally appropriate activities are provided to encourage the growth of a child in the following realms:
-
Spiritual (Favor with God) “Let the Word of God dwell in you richly.” (Col. 3:16)
Children are encouraged to grow in their awareness of God and in their Biblical knowledge. Based upon the age of the child, spiritual activities will include: daily devotions, Bible stories, choruses, Bible verses, chapel, prayers, and blessings before each meal and snack. We demonstrate Christian living through all interactions with the children, showing love, good attitudes, and prayer. Children are encouraged to follow Christ daily and reflect Christ like qualities of character in their everyday lives. Our school chaplain is available for the needs of our children, staff, and parents.
-
Intellectual (Wisdom) “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 2:5)
Through a structured program, children are presented with many learning experiences. An age appropriate curriculum is provided in which the center and the family work together to facilitate the growth of the child to his/her fullest potential.
-
Social (Favor with Man) “No man liveth unto himself.” (Romans 14:7a)
Children are taught to live together peacefully. They are encouraged to respect, love, and show concern about their peers, teachers, and families. They are also taught how to interact with others and are encouraged to develop a social sensitivity.
-
Physical (Stature) “Present your bodies a living sacrifice…unto God.” (Romans 12:1)
Children are encouraged to develop their bodies by participating in various gross and fine motor activities each day. Weather and age permitting, they are given the opportunity to play outside each morning and afternoon. Children are served well-balanced meals and snacks. We promote a healthy and safe environment by conducting necessary inspections and by conducting necessary in-service trainings to ensure a safe, clean environment for all children, parents, and staff members.
-
Emotional (Wisdom) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love...” (1 Timothy 1:7)
All children are encouraged to reach their maximum potential by using positive reinforcement and praise. They are nurtured in an environment of love, acceptance, responsibility, and respect, which will assist in developing a sense of security and positive self esteem.
